As a boy, I was enamoured by the Star Wars Universe and Stormtroopers were always at the heart of that. Effortlessly cool, when I was 13, I found a life-size cardboard cut out of a Stormtrooper in The Works and it was attached to my wall until my Dad threw it out when clearing out my old room.
When I first saw a full table of Star Wars Legion minis, painted up and ready to fight, I knew I wanted to play and own an Empire army of my own.
The reality is a lot different - fiddly to put together and soul destroyingly boring to paint, I keep telling myself it's going to be worth it. I keep them out to remind myself that the pile of shame WILL NOT overcome me.
I'll finish them by the end of the year. This I promise.
